Carl Obe Dockery

Carl was born and raised in Hot Springs County. After graduation from Hot Springs County High School Carl worked on various ranches in the area performing ranch work and training horses.

In 1959 he married Carol Ireland. In 1968 they bought a ranch on Mud Creek, where they still ranch today. Carl is an active member of Hot Springs Co. Farm Bureau, High Plains Power and Tri-County Telephone Co.

Carl has a true love of horses and cattle. He will handle a horse with a soft hand and work cattle with a calm nature. He can still handle horse who is “feeling his oats”.

Carl has spent most of his life in the saddle and still does. He is always willing to help anyone, and if someone needed something he would go without, so someone could have what they needed. He and his wife are very selfless people who have spent their lives ranching, caring for people, the land, and the livestock. He also likes to hunt. Carl and Carol have four children.
