Rod Schuppan

Rod Schuppan was born to Ralph and Darlene Schuppan in Cheyenne. He began his cowboying at a young age which all started with his father at the Hunter Ranch, working there as a kid and until 1981. In high school while ranching and going to school, he rodeoed participating in calf roping and team roping competing in the state finals in 1974. After leaving the family operation in 1981, Rod worked and managed several ranches including the Thaler Ranch, SS Ranch, Hume Ranch, and Hergert Ranch. He wanted to expand his knowledge in cattle feeding and that took him to the Flag Ranch for nine years, he then wanted to expand further in the feeding at the Miller Feeding in Torrington, which was all natural and organic finished cattle. Rod is currently managing the Flag Ranch. He has been doctoring, branding, and feeding cattle all his life. He is very well known and respected for his hard work ethic just like his late father Ralph Schuppan who was also inducted into the WCHF in September 2015.
